One evening in November 2007, the Rose & Crown hosted a gathering of Larkhallonians.

They came together to birth a festival that would unite a village…..

How it all began…

The Larkhall Festival began in November 2007, when a handful of passionate locals gathered at the Rose & Crown with a shared dream: to create a vibrant community festival. After 18 months of tireless planning, creative brainstorming, and community outreach, the first Larkhall Festival burst to life over the May Bank Holiday weekend in 2009.

The overwhelming response to that first event proved the need for such a celebration, and the festival has flourished annually ever since. Our core mission remains to showcase the remarkable talent and creativity within Larkhall, with every element crafted by those who call this area home. We aim to provide a diverse and enjoyable experience for all.

Driven by a strong belief in accessibility, we operate as a not-for-profit and strive to keep the festival free whenever possible. The festival's success is a testament to the dedication of our volunteer committee, activity leaders, and numerous helpers, all of whom contribute their time and skills freely. We are also deeply grateful for the ongoing support of local venues and businesses. Please join us in supporting them as they support us. The Larkhall Festival is a true reflection of community spirit, built by and for the people of Larkhall.
