My practice explores how we relate to and interact with the world around us, breaking down the boundaries between the artist, the object, and the viewer. I am drawn to the ways objects can act as mediators between people and their environments, inviting reflection and participation. My work emphasises materiality and the sensory potential of objects, creating experiences that are visually, emotionally, and physically resonant.

Chance plays a vital role in my process, guiding unexpected outcomes and fostering a sense of openness and possibility. I work with natural materials, allowing their inherent qualities—texture, color, and form—to shape my works. This approach results in objects that feel vibrant and alive, encouraging tactile engagement.

For this art trail, I am presenting a series of handmade rugs, and other functional tufted objects, that reflect these interests. Crafted with wool and rich, vibrant colors, each rug embodies the convergence of material, chance and function.

There will be a small selection of further work presented by my fellow Bath Spa University BA Fine Art peers.
